Come and meet the team members:

Shannon has been with Winrose since 1994. First as a volunteer, then eventual after graduating in 2006 as an Animal Health technologist. She enjoys seeing all animals that come through the door at Winrose and has a special interests in the many misunderstood dog breeds such as Staffordshire terriers, pit bulls, dobermans and rottweilers!!!  She notes " I want people to see the good that is in every breed of dog out there!!!"

"Here at Winrose I have been given the opportunity to use all my skills as an AHT. From helping with appointments, dental cleaning, taking xrays to even becoming an expert bird holder!!! It's a great place to work!!

In her spare time Shannon runs a small pet sitting buisness and enjoys traveling, water polo and spending time with her old english sheepdog "Sampson" and her lab/terrier trouble maker "Mackie".  " Everyday I'm at the clinic I see many new and exciting things so come visit us at Winrose and ask me for a tour.   I will show what a wonderful place this is and why I enjoy working here so much!!!"

Hi I'm Rhonda. I've worked at veterinary clinics as an assistant and receptionist for the past 15 years. Needless to say, I love animals! I first worked at WinRose 10 years ago for just over a year, then recently returned in August 2010 and enjoy it so much. My 2 sons share my love of animals, and we have both big and small dogs as well as cats and a parrot in our country home. We also foster kittens when needed! My first dog is still my "fur baby", her name is "Bella" and she is a 10 year old Jack Russell Terrier who is still full of beans. She rules the roost and keeps all the other animals in line. Through my own pets, I have been through the experiences of canine lymphoma, feline diabetes, elbow and hip dysplasia (just to name a few), so I deeply sympathize with all the owners that go through tough times with their pets. Pets bring us so much joy, and for us, they complete our family and help teach our sons what love and empathy mean. I look forward to meeting the treasured members of your family and helping them live healthy and happy lives.

I have been working in veterinary clinics for 7 years now with 5 of them here at Winrose.  I joined the team in July, 2006.  I enjoy the different species that we see here.  I have a diva cat named Boots that I love to bits!  In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors. I play tennis, fish, go hiking, rollerblading and heading out to the lake to kick back and relax! If you can't make it out to a lake to relax, having a pet to pat and cuddle decreases your over all stress level!  Have you patted your pet today?

Bonnie first started with Winrose back in January, 2000 as  Veterinary Assistant.  Winrose was the start of a wonderful career move and she stayed at Winrose until September, 2002.  She obtained more experience while being at other clinics over the past 10 years and just recently was asked to return to Winrose as the Hospital Manager.

In her spare time, she spends every moment she has with her wonderful little boy and their pet Finn the papillon.

Joining the WinRose team in February 2010, I have really enjoyed meeting all the clients and their pets! My pet family consists of 2 dogs, Molly, a golden retriever & Buddy, a terrier cross, as well as my tabby cat Lucy. I have taken quite an interest in boxing. I enjoy it so much that I volunteer and teach boxing in my spare time.

In December 2009, WinRose Animal Hospital brought me on as an appointment technician while I continue to finish my Animal Health Technologist course at Red River.  Learning new things and working with such a variety of species are just a few of the reasons I love working here. During the summer of 2009, I helped care for and treat Great horned owls, red foxes, ducks, woodchucks, turtles, humming birds and flying squirrels with the Manitoba Wildlife Rehabilitation Organization.  To further my passion for shelter animals, I work part time as a adoption councilor at D’Arcy’s ARC. I always encourage people wanting to introduce a new pet to the family environment to visit your local shelter to adopt. And always remember to spay & neuter your pets!! If you have any questions about adopting a pet, please feel free to call or email our clinic for advice! When spare time finally finds me, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 cats (Zelma & Zoom), cooking renovating our home and jogging.                                                                                                               Nicole’s Fun Animal Fact: An Albatross can sleep while it flies at a rate of 25mph

Hello, my name is Ashley. I graduated Red River College in the spring of 2014 and was hired in as part of the Winrose team right out of school. I enjoy being able to work with all of the interesting exotic animals that come in as well as the cats and dogs. I'm here to help with all of your pets needs so feel free to ask me anything!

"Hi I’m Tia! Recently starting at Winrose in April of 2014 I am new to the veterinary clinic world! I am a recent graduate from the University of Manitoba with my Animal Sciences degree. I have over 7 years experience working hands on with wildlife here in Manitoba such as owls, hawks, and songbirds as well as coyotes, red foxes, woodchucks (my personal favourite little creatures), along with so many other fascinating wild animals Manitoba is so lucky to have!  In my spare time I enjoy being outside and going for hikes, going to the cottage, and travelling! Working at Winrose has been an awesome learning experience so far and I cannot wait to continue my journey with all the staff and amazing clients/ patients here at the clinic!"
