Shannon has been with Winrose since 1994. First as a volunteer, then after graduating in 2006 as a Registered Veterinary technologist.
In 2017 she took on the role as practice manager. She enjoys seeing all the animals that come through the door at Winrose and has a special interest in large breed dogs.
“Here at Winrose I have been given the opportunity to use all my skills as an RVT from taking x-rays, phlebotomy, anesthesia monitoring, nutritional counseling to even becoming an expert in avian restraint!”
In her spare time she enjoys traveling, water polo and painting.
Shannon has two very large Old English Sheepdogs named Norman and Wallace which keep her very busy and active.

Tara graduated as a veterinarian technician in 2004 and joined the Winrose team in 2016.
She grew up in the country and was always surrounded by animals. She loves the variety of work she gets to do and all the different animals she gets to see.
Every day is different and I am always learning something new.
Tara loves working at Winrose and feels like she is part of a family here.
She feels like we have the best clients and really enjoys meeting everyone that comes in to the clinic.
Outside of work Tara loves spending time with family and friends, being outdoors and is often found with her nose in a book.

Angie D. joined the Winrose family in 2022 while finishing her final year at the RRC Veterinary Technology Program.
She has been working in the veterinary field since 2017 as a receptionist/assistant.
She loves all of the ins and outs of working with exotic pets, and cats/dogs, but has a soft spot for rabbits.
She loves to spend her time watching movies, going for walks, and hanging out with her rabbit "Ruby" and dog "Clover".

Danielle has been at Winrose since 2017.
She started off as one of our receptionists and now she is one of our technologists after graduating from the Veterinary Technology program in 2020.

She recently made the move over to Winrose in 2022 and has been excited to learn about all of the wonderful species that we treat at the clinic on a daily basis.
Katie continues to love patient care and helping run diagnostics in order to get pets back to their happy, healthy selves.
At home, she has four beautiful cats that keep her life interesting and may even add a dog to the family one day.

Alec has worked at Winrose Animal Hospital since 2018 since completing his practicum here; after finishing the Veterinary Office Assistant course at Robertson College.
Alec has always had a passion for animal care that has included volunteering at cat shelters, breeding rats, and working at his family farm where they have pigeons, ducks, geese, chickens and peacocks.
He has a special interest in Shiba Inus, rats, hedgehogs, and has a Shiba Inu of his own named Homer! He also has two Siamese cats.

Meet Christine, she has been at Winrose since November 2022.
Growing up with cats and dogs, she has always wanted a career where she was able to care for them.
In 2021, she went to Robertson College and successfully completed the Veterinary Office Assistant course to start her journey of helping animals and their owners to the best of her ability.

I joined the Winrose team in 2020 part time while I continued my undergraduate studies at university. I have been passionate about the veterinary field since I was a little girl, and I hope to continue on to become a veterinarian myself in the near future.
At home, along with my family, I have one French Bulldog named Manolo, although my family says he is more my dog than anyone else.
I hope to accumulate multiple pets as I grow in the field, and to have the ability in providing the best care I can to my future patients as well as current patients at Winrose.
My interest in pets is more focused on a wide variety of dog breeds such as Mastiffs, French Bulldogs, German Shorthaired Pointers and Labradors.
I have also found a love for wildlife rehabilitation through volunteering at Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and large animals through volunteering my extra time to large animal vet clinics.
In my spare time I love to hike, go to the gym, spending time with family and friends, playing soccer and heading out to the lake during camping season.”

My name is Kody and I am a receptionist at Winrose. I love working with all the exotics but I have a real passion for cats. I have a Veterinary Office Assistant degree as well as a certificate in Animal Diabetes.
As a Type One diabetic myself, I know how important and serious it is to know the ins and outs of the condition and how to navigate it whether human or animal!
My heart belongs to my animal family which is a mix of exotics and cats! I love customer service and you will always find me ready to help you up front with joy!

I have worked at WinRose since 2010, and have worked at veterinary clinics for a total of 30 years now!
My family and I have many pets, including cats, dogs, horses, chickens and ducks.
We also have a gold capped Conure that is now 27 years old.
Needless to say, my love of animals has spread to my 3 children. We love fostering cats and dogs for local rescues.
I have a soft spot for senior animals, and pets with disabilities. 2 of our cats have CH, and they have an incredible determination to be just as fast and mobile as any other cat.
I look forward to meeting all the pets that come into WinRose, and love to see them grow up over the years.

Her oldest pet is Bruno a 22 year old African grey parrot.
She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, going to the gym, and pretty much anything that involves animals!
